Summer 1997 – Scaramanga go to Blackwing Studios in London to record a split-single with Slot Jockey. Uncannily Princess Diana dies. Gulliver leaves and rejoins several times. The band become louder and louder, more and more desperate.
Winter 1997 – ‘Vamp’ comes out on 7’’ vinyl as a split single on Double Plus records. It’s a brutal record, Steve and Julia taking it in turns screeching. The band suffer the indignity of having to sleep on Slot Jockey’s floor at a launch party. Paul discovers tequila.
