Spring 1999 – Action stations! Scaramanga become THE SCARAMANGA SIX. As a signal of malicious intent, the lp ‘The Liar, The Bitch and Her Wardrobe’ is released on Trinity Records. This album is an hour long thriller featuring much of ‘98’s recorded output. Half the album is made from an as-live session at The Electric Press, Leeds and the end result is a punishing record that doesn’t let up. The Six do a double headed tour with Leeds outfit Landspeed Loungers. This heralds the departure of drummer Jem Bowden who becomes sick of makeshift sleeping arrangements. The band recoils and takes stock.

Summer 1999 – Lifelong cousin of the Morricone brothers, JAMES AGNEW takes the position of drummer. A percussive maniac intent on beating the very life out of any drum kit available. The Scaramanga Six press on with an increased resolve to rock. Arnez switches onto guitar leaving Paul Morricone more freedom to perfect his microphone twirling prowess.

Line up: AGNEW – Drums, BAILEY - Guitar, ARNEZ – Guitar, Vocals, GULLIVER - Organ, Piano, P. MORRICONE – Vocals, Guitar, Sax, S. MORRICONE – Vocals, Bass.
